Aud-Wedding | My Vintage Wedding Car

My wedding turned out to be something different, in a good way of course. That's the comments I received from friends and relatives. It involves a lot of hard work and hands on job because we did almost everything ourselves and yea, in a very short time frame- 1.5 month. So if different is what you want, maybe this can be your reference. You can read about my other wedding related post at the end of the post.

I always wanted a different wedding car for my wedding. Something different, something vintage and I am really glad that I've found someone who thinks the same.

After some research and calls, I manage to shortlist a couple of contacts that provide vintage wedding car rental service.

One of them has these two hot babes. I especially like the red one, but the price is way too much for my budget so it's a No.

Aud-Wedding | My Dream Bridal Shoe, Tailor Made by Lesmano

All these years I never had a fond on heels, it's not that I don't love them (which woman doesn't love heels?!), it's just that they are too uncomfortable. The pain is just unbearable that I don't know how to walk on them.

While preparing for my big day, one big concern of mine has to be my wedding shoe. I can't imagine myself walking in those killer heels for the whole day!

Just when I was desperate, Nicole saved me. She literally did. Through Nicole, I got to know this shoe maker at Mutiara Emas- Lesmano, without having high hopes, I decided to give it a try.

It's located in a factory area, the front of the factory is a retail shop, whereas the back is where the shoe factory lies.

In the store front, you will find dozens and dozens of shoes displayed nicely for you to try it on. With such variety, I'm sure you will find something that suits your eye.

Aud-Wedding | Bridal Nail Art by Prisca De Nails

[REVIEW]

Hello dears! I am back with a post on my wedding nails. Many of you has been asking about my wedding nails after I posted it on my social media, so here's the post.

Due to my tight schedule, I wasn't able to visit the salon. Luckily Joan was able to do a home visit to help me with my nails. It's really not easy as she needs to bring lots of stuff to my house. Thank you so much Joan!

Aud-Story | Summary: My Marriage, My Wedding and A New Life

Life has been eventful for the past few months. Major decisions made, huge life changes happened. I yet to have time to blog everything in detail so I thought of having a summary first before I go into details for all the important events that happened in my life.

Last May 13 (2014), Kareshi proposed to me at the monastery that we always go. It was one of the most wonderful thing that happened in my life, because from the first sight, I know this is the man I want for the rest of my life. Haha, yeap! It was love at first sight.
You can read about it >>here<<.

Aud-Wedding | Hello, Mrs Tan! [My Monastery R.O.M]

I grew up believing that one day I will have a church wedding or ROM. I am not even a Christian, why church? Well, it must be those romantic movies that I've watched. It created an impression that for a wedding to be romantic it has to be held in a church.

But never have I expect that my own ROM to be so different and meaningful.

Aud-Wedding | DIY R.O.M Hand Bouquet

Harlo! I'm back. I was busy with my ROM previously. After a week away from my laptop, I am finally back updating my blog (all the posts you read before this were scheduled way before my ROM, I am a responsible blogger okay).

Back to my ROM, initially I never thought of having a bouquet but Shavin (kareshi's younger sister) says I should have one and insisted her brother to get one for me.

Two days before our ROM, we went to florist to check it out but none of them fit to our liking and oh my god it's way too expensive. I never knew a hand bouquet could be so expensive. I am not a flower person that's why I really don't find it necessary or worthy to spend so much on flowers. Hence, hand bouquet from florist was a no.

We continued walking around and found ourselves at the fresh cut area where you can get all sorts of fresh cut flowers. Sudden thought: "Hey, why not make one ourselves!"

Aud-Wedding | The Wedding Band

Harlo! I'm back to update the Aud's wedding stories! Today is all about The wedding band. We really went to lots of places, going thorough piece by piece. We even did tons of online research, searching for that "one-piece". You can read about my ring hunting >>here<<.

When we saw this on the net, we immediately fall in love with it, but we couldn't find one that is exactly the same nor could we find someone to custom made it for us.

The only piece that has the closest design to the one above is Tiffany & co. This is 18k gold.

Aud-Shops | My ROM Dress from Shopbop

Have you read about the Shopbop post featured on my blog last month? If you have not, you can read it >>here<<. Its a website selling authentic designer brands that I stumbled upon. After looking through the website, I thought it would be great if I can get my ROM dress from it.

And so I did. In the previous post, I listed 6 of them and asked for your opinion. After going through the site again, I decided on something else.

Considering the venue and the ceremony that we are having, it is important that I dress properly. It's not that the previous 6 pieces aren't good but I had my eye set on another after factoring in the design and value of money. Let's check out the 2 dresses I got from Shopbop.com.

The first dress I got was this Quinn Dress from Torn By Ronny Kobo.
Torn By Ronny Kobo Quinn Dress, $119
Torn By Ronny Kobo Quinn Dress - White

When I bought this, it was selling out fast because of the discount. Glad that I grab it before it runs out. Initially, I thought of wearing this for my ROM but after fitting it, I dropped the idea because of the V cut on the front (I have bigger upper body) is revealing too much. It would be quite disrespectful to the Venerable and monks.

Luckily I got another back up dress. This dress is from BB Dakota. BB Dakota Derry Linen Dress, $27
Bb Dakota Derry Linen Dress - Optic White/Black
This dress has a front zipper that allows you to adjust the opening length. I'm gonna keep it zipped. Something simple and clean but yet formal and presentable. It was a steal as I got it at only $27 (finale sales) which is around RM 86 after conversion! Its cheap! Can't wait to see how it looks on me? Just stay tune with my blog and I will blog about it.

Upon receiving the parcel from Shopbop, I was first amazed by its delivery speed. It only took 5 days to reach me. Secondly, my dress came in a big box with hanger and they were nicely wrapped. Talk about the service yea.

With the much confident with Shopbop, I am planning to get a bag from it again. I have a few in mind, let me show you.

MICHAEL Michael Kors Selma Printed Large Two Zip Tote, $378. I like this houndstooth-patterned, saffiano leather MICHAEL Michael Kors satchel in a classic silhouette tote bag. A. Gold-tone lettering details the front, and an inset zip opens to a logo-lined interior with 4 notch pockets and a zip pouch. Metal feet that protects the bag. Double rolled handles and optional shoulder strap. It is very suitable for work and a date out.

Another one that catch my eye is this MICHAEL Michael Kors Sutton Center Stripe Satchel, $398. A sturdy, saffiano leather satchel with a bold center stripe. Snap gussets gather the open top. The lined interior has 1 zip pocket and 4 patch pockets. 2 top zips open additional compartments in the sidewalls. Polished metal hardware and feet. Rolled leather handles and optional, adjustable shoulder strap. Simple yet versatile. You know, black and white can never go wrong with any outfit.

Kate Spade New York Bedford Square Easten Cross Body Bag, $398. A structured Kate Spade New York cross-body bag with a medium-sized profile. Gold-tone hardware adds a hint of shine, and color blocked trim lends contemporary contrast.

Besides tote bag, I am also a fan of satchel bag. Furla Candy Medium Satchel, $248. It is a glossy rubber Furla bag with molded stitching and there's a tiny padlock secures the top zip. This is more for a date/ fun day outing. Not so suitable for working I guess because of the fun look.

But this Koret satchel made of smooth leather is so elegant. Koret Ori Satchel, $382.40. I always have a soft spot for leather stuff! Can't get over the nice smell of leather. This satchel has 2-way zip top opens to a lined interior with a zip pocket and pouch. 2 external side pockets with snap closures.

I'm still flickering in between these bags, can't seem to get my decision made. I'm gonna consult kareshi for some advice. Will update again if I've decided on the bag! Meanwhile, do check out Shopbop.com while waiting for my next post. You might find some special gift for your close ones for any coming occasion.

Aud- Wedding | Ring Hunt Day

Its been one and a half month since I was proposed. Ever since that day, we have not stopped researching and preparing for our big day.

Initially, we planned to have our ROM and Chinese Customary on the same day, but due to some realistic and practicality issue, we had no choice but to separate them. But I always believe things happen for a reason, so just follow the flow.

First thing off that we need to settle is to fix our ROM date. After much discussion, the date was finally fixed (and I've been secretly hoping for that day to come faster! XD)!

Second thing we need to get off the book is the sacred Wedding Bands. We actually went for the first hunt a week before the second attempt, we went to all the big designer brands, and we were pretty much set with a specific design (found on the internet after being inspired by one of the designer brand) that we really like.

So the second hunt will be hunting for the design that was inspired.

Aud- Wedding | The Day He Went Down His Knee

After showering the Buddha (read the previous episode >>here<<) , we will always come to level 4 to pay respect to the big Buddha and collect kareshi's shoe. As I mentioned, something big happened on Vesak day. It was something huge that it shocked my world like an earthquake strikes. That my dear, I know my Vesak will never be the same.

That day after paying respect, Kareshi suggested to sit (at the side of the hall) to chill for a while. He then starts all the emotional talk, thank me for completing the 2nd 3 steps 1 bow with him, thank me for always being nice, thank me for blah blah blah... I did not realize anything unusual because that's what we would do, from time to time we do thank each other for being kind, giving and understanding.

When he finished everything, ended the conversation with an "I love you", he hold my hands like wanting to stand up and leave. I though we are leaving to home so I just stood up and prepared to leave.

I then saw him like kneeling down again, I thought he didn't stand properly/ lost balance and tried to hold him up, and then in front of Buddha I saw him down on his knee with a ring on his hand saying:
