I used to have a dream. A dream that remains deep inside me till today. I do not know how and when did my affection with Japan started, all I could remember is it's in me, all the time ever since I was a kid. I dreamt to study there, to live there, to experience the life and culture of Japan. It was the biggest dream I ever wanted to achieve. It was so close yet so far. It shattered a few years back. You can read it >>here<<. But still, I hold dear to the shattered pieces. Hoping that one day, it will still come true (even if it's in a different manner).

Many years have passed. Life has been really eventful. I broke up from a 6 years relationship, and met a guy I knew would be my significant one from the first sight. True enough, I was proposed after one and a half year together. Then I am married. And yeap, I am now 8 months pregnant.

A white Christmas, is always on my wishlist. Something I hope to experience before I bid the world goodbye. Its a dream since I was a little girl and last year, my wish came through. It may not be a true white Christmas but it was good enough.

But what attracts us most is the friendly people and it's down-to-earth charm. A perfect place for a family get together.

Aud- Ventures | Johor Mystery Room Escape

[REVIEW/SAMPLE]

I've been looking forward to this day (12.04.14) because its our gathering + review day. Speaking of it, it was the first "real" gathering of Johor Bloggers we had (although some can't make it due to studies), but still so much of excitement because we will be reviewing a Game House- Mystery Room Escape!

Here's a little briefing/ background check. Mystery Room Escape is the first room escape in South Malaysia, Johor. It was launched last year 5 November. It was an inspiration from Thailand room escape that the owner- Mr Anson played. He felt that it is very fun yet educational; hence he decided to bring it in to Malaysia.

Mystery Room Escape is converted from a commercial bungalow show unit by developer. It is on rent from the developer. Initially I was still wondering, do we really need an hour for such a small area? Well, all I can say is never underestimate it, or should I say don't overestimate yourself? lol

Gunung Pulai

We have been planning to climb the only mount in Kulai- Gunung Pulai for quite some time ago but weather and sorts kinda delayed it.

25.08.13, we finally did it (half way only thought).

(This is not a detailed post about gunung pulai, will blog in detail next time when I climb to the summit.)

Gunung Pulai is a 654 meter high hill near the city of Johor Bahru- Kulai.

I remember climbing this mount when I was young.

That time we were able to play and "swim" at the lower stream of the waterfall.

Wonder if its still accessible now, heard that its threaten by trash or closed.

Welcome to Gunung Pulai.

We reached around 8.00 am. It is already very very crowded. Have to park my car quite far away.

It is a leisure climb as I brought my mum and my dog- Nini along.The purpose is to stretch the muscles and have time with family.

It's my favorite month plus it happens to have quite a numbers of holidays! 

That just makes it better! 

So during Hari Raya and Singapore National day,

kareshi and I went to Malacca again!

It's a long weekend, the road will surely be crowded like it always does, so to avoid jams, we departed 6.50 am (planed to leave at 6.30 am but you know.. Morning.. >_<). 

The effort of waking and departing early ensures us to reached Malacca around 8.30 am with minimal traffic at certain areas (way better then depart later but stuck in the traffic).

Quickly had our breakfast at a random coffee house (not very nice though). 

We drove and parked our car at a open car park near Malacca Bali homestay I mentioned in previous post here and started looking for our hostel.

Oh ya, by the way, kareshi and me are on a Mickey date! Lol

Can Tho, Vietnam

Hello!! So where was I? Oh ya.. I was saying HCMC was boring (read it here) and we decided to head to Can Tho on the third day morning. We had our hotel booked, settled our breakfast and head off the bus station to get our tickets to Can Tho.

It took us approximately an hour walk from our hotel to the bus ticketing office because it rains half way. We were lucky! Because the next bus departs at 1 pm which is 15 mins later! Thank god!!

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Finally the long waited travel post. Travel post always requires more effort than any other post. hehe. So, to rewind a lil, I went for a holiday with kareshi during July 19-23 to Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

We booked our flights through Jetstar. Air tickets weren't very expensive, return flight for 2 cost us $200ish. I was very excited as its my first oversea trip with kareshi. Destination is not the point, the point is travelling with him. With him, everything is perfect.

Okay, The first day! Our flight was 6.30 am in the morning, thanks Shavin for sending us to the airport at such an early timing. We reached HCMC around 8.30 am. Our first meal was expensive burger king fries at the airport. Just one regular fries cost 44,500 dong which equals to RM 7! I can already have a whole meal man!

At the airport, We bought a 1GB data sim card (for gps/ map purpose) which only cost 110,000 dong (RM 15). Its CHEAP! Malaysia 1GB data also cost RM 48. It's highly recommended to get a data sim if you are on free and easy or backpacking.

Botanical Garden Singapore

This Sunday morning We went to Botanical garden with my Mummy, ah Po, my bro and cousin.The reason why they were in Singapore was to visit my relative who came from China for a holiday. Kareshi though it will be nice to bring them to Botanical garden for a walk It was suppose to be a short walk just to see see look look then head off to Kong Meng San as Kareshi has Buddhism class to attend. But kareshi underestimated the size of botanical garden. We only gone through half of it that day, and it's already too late for kareshi to go to class, so he had to skipped. Sorry~ 

It's me! We just arrived at botanical garden. I look so pale without makeup. >_<

When we saw the map, we got shocked. It's huge! This is also kareshi's first time so he didn't knew that its huge.

Putuo Village

Kareshi was here the night before as he has no morning class today so we brought okaasan and ah gong ah po (maternal grandparents) for breakfast!

We went to this very old school coffee shop which has the best coffee in town! Everyday, they personally roast the Coffee bean with butter, that is why their coffee has the unique fragrance! It's really a must try in Kulai! And they are the only coffee shop (if I'm not mistaken) that still toast a toast with charcoal! How awesome is that huh!! Another must must try! Hehe.. maybe I will blog about it.

After sending grandparents home, we headed off to Putuo Village, the Little Pratalaka. That moment, kareshi has no idea where I am bringing him to. In fact, I also don't know because I also never been there. It's okaasan who suggested to go Putuo Village as she wants to show kareshi around. I was so excited. It feels like a kid going to the zoo~ lol

Vesak Day 2013

Vesak day has never been exciting nor to be look forward for, its just another normal day to me (because I am not Buddhist) but this year my Vesak day is different. Very different.

I am still not a Buddhist, still religion free. I guess being religion free gives me the freedom to extend and expose myself to different things as I'm not bound to one ground. I guess I just don't like to be tied up or should I say I just hate to be limited. I need to be free to fly. Haha. Okay, this is abit off topic. Back on trail.

What is Vesak Day? As I said, I am not a Buddhist, so I do not fully understand it but I roughly know what it is about. Here I share with you what is on the wikipedia.

Foodies in Jonker Street Malacca

Woke up feeling tired in the morning because slept late last night due to the late night karaoke. Kareshi even worse, he can't sleep because not used to the bed and he blamed me for scaring him about the windmill. I told him that I am scare and I don't like the sound of the windmill, but I fall asleep right away, leaving him behind alone with the sound of windmill. hahhaha.. I am sorry~ >_<

We drove to Jonker street for Chicken Rice Ball. Although my friend recommended Hoe Kee but we decided to settle at Chung Wah instead. The queue here is always crazy!

The nicest chicken rice ball in Malacca!! There's already a queue there! We waited for 30 minutes or so to be seated. Business damn good.

How can one not go Jonker street if visiting Malacca, it's like want nasi lemak without sambal, or Teh ice limau without limau (ice lemon tea without lemon), its just not right.

We went to Jonker street in the night as the afternoon weather is killing hot. We walked from Dataran Pahlawan, it takes around 10-15 mins.

Malacca Bali Homestay

I had a great great weekend (13-14.04.13) with kareshi and his families at the historical town - Malacca!

We rented a homestay as we have a total number of 10 pax!! Kareshi is the one who did the booking. He said initially he wanted to book another homestay which is country style but too bad it was fully booked, at the end he came across this. Malacca bali homestay which has 4 rooms with different theme, air-cons, wifi, heater, basically anything that a house should have, they have it all! It just feels like home! All you need to do is bring your luggage and feels like home! Nice right? Hehe~ I will share you the contact number at the end of the post so meanwhile please continue reading ya~ ^_^

So on Saturday, we had a late breakfast at Kulai (place where I live) before we departed to the historical town. Checked in the homestay around 4pm.

Pulau Ubin Singapore

We are going to Pulau Ubin Singapore on Sunday (17.3.13), I went in to kareshi's hse on Saturday evening, so that it won't be too rush the next day as No one can predict the traffic on the causeway, so better be safe than sorry. But Kareshi is meeting his friends on Saturday night so I went dinner with his okaasan (mum), Imouto (sis) and obaasan (aunt)~ We went to Plaza Singapore Manhattan fish market because Shavin (imouto) bought the dining voucher frm Groupon~~

We reached around 8pm, and the queue is long. Waited for around 20-30 mins to be served.

My Sunday in Singapore

As I am typing this post now, I am sitting in front of the largest Buddha statue (I think it is) in Singapore.
If you do follow me on Twitter, Instagram or my facebook page you will know.. Yes.. I'm at Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery again. Seems like I'm here pretty often huh? That's because my kareshi is having his Dharma class here but I am not attending together because I am not. So I just come along to either read or blog here (which is what I'm doing now) while he is having his class.

Honestly, I quite like it here. I always come to the 4th floor, the place where the giant Buddha lies. It is so peaceful that I can literally "see" peace and harmony. lol no joke man, it really makes me feel so calming and peaceful. I think even if the most evil person on earth is locked here, he will turn good in no time. Hehe..

The "Wu Xiang Dian- 无相殿"

Johor Bahru Chingay 2013

The Johor Bahru Chingay Parade is a must see event for it's splendid and unique cultural performances and an insight to the Chinese festive tradition.

Every year in the first lunar month of 20-23rd, the Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple organizes its annual Chingay known as the Parade of Deities (Chinese: 古廟游神). The word Chingay is from the Hokkien dialect, of which the Mandarin equivalent is "Zhuang Yi", meaning "the art of masquerade".  It has a 143 years of history. It is the BIGGEST and LARGEST event of the year!

Last year, I participated in the whole procession and completed the 10 km walk. I felt proud of myself for that. This year I wasn't in the procession but among the crowd watching at the roadside. Of course, I am not alone. 

My Kareshi has no idea that we have this annual Johor Ancient Temple's Procession for the past 140 years (wondering how can he not know that..), so I invited him to come over to experience it. After all, it's an event Johoreans are proud of.

Not much photos this year, mainly also because I did not bring my camera along and my iPhone was out of batt, so don't really have nice photos.. Bear with it ya~ ^_^

Hello Kitty Sanrio @ Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park

I realize I really hardly blog these days, not that I don't want to but really do not have enough time to do all the things. How I wish I can have additional 5 hours per day, just 5 hours. See, I'm not that greedy.

Okay. So, the official launching of Sanrio Hello Kitty Town at Puteri Harbour was just two days ago, but it was open to public for visiting quite a few weeks back since Hari Raya Haji. I went there on the 17 November and I am blogging about it today, which is almost a month later.

Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of HK, but I love pink color and cute stuff. Typical girl huh? =p

so there I went. The weather is nice when I departed.

Yet when I arrive, It RAINS! fml

But this doesn't weaken my urge to embrace myself in the land of pink!
