[REVIEW]

I am not a super fan of Thai food because I am not good with spicy food let alone the spicy sour taste Tom Yam. I have to confess that I've not tried Tom Yam. Not even once (OMG are you even Malaysian, my friend asked)! Ha! but thanks to Carinn, I gave her and absolute thai my Virgin try.

We had a really fun night that day. It was the first biggest gathering ever for the Ma Cherie Girls (except Jennifer and Eryn because the both got invitation from SuperMag to premium launch for Transformers).

The lady in the Top right photo is the Manager WeiWei.

Absolute Thai KSL is a new branch. It is located at lower ground floor. The same row as Tesco, beside the chicken rice shop.

It is quite spacious with enough seats that can hold a few big groups. I love the interior design. Woody interior always makes me feel more comfortable and relax. Next time, I hope my future house will also be Woody, country look.

Well, let the appetizing spread prepared by absolute Thai begins, shall we?

Let's start with appetizer.

Thai Mango salad with crispy cat fish RM 15.90. The correct way of eating this dish is to crack/ smash the cat fish, mix with the mango and eat together. The mixture of salty cat fish and the sour mango create a different sensation.

Thai Fish Cake (4 pcs) RM 9.90. I like this, it's sorta spicy but I think I still can tahan. Eat it plain, you can taste the freshness of the fish, dip it with Thai chili you will experience an additional sweet yet spicy taste.

Pineapple fried rice with prawn RM 16.90. Didn't get to try this dish but everyone keeps saying the ingredients are generous and I like the presentation. It's very pleasant and makes you feel like eating the whole thing.

Green Chicken Curry RM 16.90. This is nice, its not as spicy as I thought it would be. Maybe it's because of the added coconut milk. I like that they use boneless chicken so that its easier to eat.

Sizzling Ming Prawns with Tamarind Sauce RM 38.90. The plus point to this dish is that its peeled prawn (basically hates to eat anything with bones or shell on when I'm outside). It is sweet with a touch of sour because of the tamarind sauce. Edlyn and I like it but she accidentally ate the prawn head too which she feels so gross lol. Sorry I should have told you that you ate it.

The clear base tom yam soup for 4 persons.

The soup doesn't look spicy at all, that's why when they serve it I quickly "chop" a bowl of this rather than the red ones. I thought I am smart but who know I just got my ass kicked by myself (check out my epic expression >>here<<). Don't be fooled by its "innocent" look (see, told ya not to judge a book by its cover) because it is so spicy!!! I was having running nose right after the first sip! Can you imagine that? But I have to say that it was good, I think I will begin to like tom yam soup now.

Red base tom yam. WeiWei said that the difference between the two soup is that the red one was added with coconut milk, hence is it less spicy compared to the clear base one. Instead, you can taste a mild sweetness despite that it looks spicy (again, never judge a book by its cover). Tom yam soup comes with an option of chicken or seafood. For chicken will be RM 38.90, and Seafood RM 42.90.

Stir fried Tofu aka Bean Curd with Basil Leaves RM 12.90. I actually likes anything with tofu.. It is slightly spicy (is there anything that is not spicy in Thai food?!). Best served hot and with rice.

From top left to right, we have Thai iced coffee RM 9.00, Lemongrass Juice RM 8.00, Thai iced tea RM 9.00, and Muay Thai punch RM 12.00. The Thai coffee and tea reminds me of 3 tones coffee and tea.
Luckily I had iced tea to help to ease the spiciness I had on the tip of my tongue, if not I think I will cry, lol. On the other hand, the Muay Thai Punch is quite nice! It's a mixture of orange, apple, pineapple and grenadine syrup. Next time can try!

Well, bloggers at work.

Aud trying her best to enjoy the prawn from the Tom Yam soup!

Finally I hang on till dessert time! I deserve some reward, hurray!

Mango with Sticky Rice RM 11.90. When I was in Bangkok, I almost had this everyday but for the sake of the mango not so much about the sticky rice. I really feel Thailand mangoes are the sweetest and nicest! I secretly hoping to finish the whole thing myself! Hahaha!!

Water chestnut in Coconut Milk topped with Jackfruits RM 7.90. This is not as nice compared to Mango I feel but it's something quite refreshing and thirst quenching.

Yeap, ending the post with some group photos! Once again thanks to Carinn and WeiWei from absolute thai for the feast! I think I am slowly building my love towards Thai food now!
