Aud-Eats: Food with Passion, Passion Food @ Taman Pelangi

[REVIEW]

It's been a quite a while since I last hangout with the girls after I got married and moved to Singapore. It's nice to be together with kareshi but sometimes, it just got a little lonely without the girls. Heh! So I was really delighted to be able to join them for a food review this time round.

We were invited to Passionfood cafe to try out their new menu that will be launched in mid April. I confess, I did not know the existence of passionfood cafe despises it has already been operating for 4 years! Okay, I admit! I am not hipster, so this it is my best chance to try.

Put in a little effort to dress up so I feel good about myself again.

Passionfood is located at Taman Pelangi. It actually quite easy to spot the big fuchsia pink signboard.

It was raining but still manage to get quite some decent photos for this post with my iphone. I forgot my camera so please bear with the lower quality photos.

They have outdoor area for those who doesn't want aircon or wants to smoke.

Every little corner is well taken care of, you can see it from the decorations done by the owner. It's definitely a nice place to chill and take photos with your girlfriends.

King of Mushroom, RM 12.90
I am not a fan of mushrooms (except those canned button mushrooms) but I must say that this taste awesome! It is made of white button mushrooms (no wonder I like it, it's button mushrooms after all! lol) and doesn't have the fungi taste but instead it taste like some sort of seafood.

Forest Mushroom Soup, RM 9.90
I might not be a fan of mushrooms but I love mushroom soup. This one from Passionfood has especially lots of mushrooms bits. Every sip has lots of them. Oh, I also love the freshly ground black pepper taste, although some might find it too strong.

Eggs Hemmingway, RM 16.90
I personally did not tried this dish as I couldn't take bread and egg. According to the girls, this is one well balanced meal. The spinach is nicely cooked with garlic and the mushrooms were good! Especially the pairing the poached egg with hollandaise Sauce, it is perfect.

Pulled Duck Confit Burger, RM 22.90
Honestly, it was my first time trying a duck burger. I did not eat the bun but the duck slice was quite flavourful, not too hard (duck meat can be really hard) but I think it's a little over cooked hence the meat was a little dry.

Explosive Meatball Pasta, RM 16.90
The meatball would explode in your mouth with cheese flowing out, oh Cheese lover can give this dish a try but must eat it while it's hot. Otherwise, you might not be able to experience the explosion.

Golden Squid Ink Pasta, RM 18.90
Never eat this if you are on a date! Or you bear the risk of scarring your partner with black lips and teeth! hahah! The girls don't dare to open their mouth after this dish, so funny.

Cotton Candy Espresso, RM 12
Call me Sua Ku. It's my first time seeing coffee being served this way. It was fun pouring the espresso on to the cotton candy.

Drunken Chocolate, RM 9.90

Dark Chocolate Log, RM 7.90
The owner was so sweet to prepare this for us! I love this! It is so chocolatey and rich! Most importantly it's without egg! Ha! Finally a cake without egg!

Chocolate Chestnut Truffle, RM 9.90
This is also without egg, but I personally like the log cake more.

Okay, I look damn round in this photo. Selfie is still the best, haha.

The girls that night! Thanks for having us Passionfood. We enjoyed ourselves. It's great to catch up with the girls too!

Passionfood cafe ensures that they serve good food. Many companies have been ordering catering food from them too! Yup, they do provide catering service, find out more from their website. By the way, due to the implementation of GST, Passionfood has decided not to charge customers service charge. There, another good reason to visit with family and friends!
