Aud- Cooks | Creamy Tuna Spaghetti

Wow! My first food recipe post! I actually started cooking when I was 8. 8!! Can you imagine a short tiny girl standing on a stool over the stove cooking for the whole family? Uhh... life was hard back then.

Now, I don't really cook for the family, mummy took her job back. Ha! She's managing her home-base nursery so basically she does all the cooking now, but from time to time when the mood strikes, I will take over the stove.

Kareshi loves spaghetti, especially creamy ones and his all time favourite Aglio- Olio. I cooked creamy tuna spaghetti for him once, it was my first trial (keep looking at recipe while cooking) but luckily it turns out good!

The other day, he was hinting me to cook for him again! I guess he really like my creamy spaghetti! lol, so I went to buy some needed ingredients and ready to stuff him up. Muahaha! Okay, ready for the recipe? Here it goes!

Ingredients
1. Spaghetti for 2
2. Two cans of tuna in olive oil (chunks)
3. Fresh milk/ full cream milk/ low-fat milk
4. Low-fat sour cream
5. Butter (I make use of the butter spread I have at home)
6. Chopped Mushrooms
7. Chopped Onions and minced garlics
8. Parsley/ Oregano
9. Olive oil
10. Parmesan cheese (grated)
11. All-purpose flour/ corn starch
12. salt and pepper

Don't get overwhelmed by the ingredients, it is not difficult as it seems and in fact it is so so so easy!

How to cook
1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.

2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add onions and garlic stir fried till light brown, add in tunas (together with the olive oil), mushrooms and oregano. Cook till tender.

3. Gradually whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer, add flour and stir constantly until it thickened.

4. Add sour cream, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Parmesan cheese can be replaced with cheddar cheese.

5. Pour over the ready cooked spaghetti. Sprinkle parley and Parmesan cheese on top.

6. Tadah, ready to be served.

It is actually up to your preference whether you want grated or shredded parmesan cheese.

Kareshi ate 2 big plates!!! lol.

I really love to see him eating happily especially the food I've prepared for him, it's like he couldn't get enough of it, that makes me feel so in love! Okay lah, I will cook for you the rest of your life lah~ lol

Okay, have fun cooking!

Thanks for reading. Untill next time,
Aud
